Rebreather Friendly Dive Club in Hull

Hi all,

Following on from a thread for a request for a rebreather friendly club I thought I would mention ours.

It's a BSAC club in Hull, East Yorkshire and has a very active rebreather group.

There are currently 6 Inspiration owners and one on the way, with more people trained but without units at the minute, and we also have somone with a Russian rebreather.

The club has it's own compressor house that has one of the best nitrox/trimix pannels in the area and we also have our own Haskel pump.

We are a very active bunch, running trips to Scapa, Newquay ect regularly, there are about 8 boats in the club in total so you will always find a place on a weekend.

If you have any queries drop me a PM.

Re: Rebreather Friendly Dive Club in Hull

As a random aside, I did my first ever "dive" with Hull BSAC. I was aged 8.

One summer I did a series of swimming lessons - I think they were called "Aquanaut" - rescuing bricks from the bottom of pools and inflating our pajama trousers to use as floats. At the end of the summer, all those who passed all four modules, in addition to getting four badges [1] we got do do a length of Haltemprice pool in scuba kit with a local dive club. I presume it was BSAC 14...

[1] - The first badge had AQ, the second had UA, the third had NA, the fourth UT - so that when you sewed them on to your trollies it read "AQUANAUT"
