![]() | Re: World Record UW Walking Attempt on Right NOW Thanks Chris - its totally insane down here - trying to track down the person that came up with this idea in the first place... and we think it was Hadwins fault! The walkers and support teams we have are on a variety of equipment, from classic scuba to Sven who is down here with his Inspiration and he promises that he will write a blog tomorrow night to tell you all about it. In the meantime the boys/walkers that usually use rebreathers keep looking behind them and wondering "where did those bubbles come from" as its been so long since theyve used scuba gear. so far we have had killer numb rays give way to killer blue swimmer crabs and this morning killer ducks trying to stop our team... not even a dusky shark that got caught in the wharf nets last night can stop these guys although the smell of it was pretty ripe. Everyone is operating on very little sleep - the walkers are luckY if they get 2hrs. Fortunately we have some very pretty mermaids helping out in tiny tiny outfits and they seem to be doing wonders for moral. so plesae check out the site, update their progress and if you can DONATE to Careflight Rescue cheers, |

| Blogs Admin / Forum Mod ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: World Record UW Walking Attempt on Right NOW What an event! The walkers and also the support team are still a bit sore and VERY tired, but we all had a ball, nevertheless. As the only Rebreather diver during the event, I was doing up to 2.5h stints under water, which proved to be quite a challenge in 2.5m of water (at low tide). So I could practise my buoyancy skills on the YBOD, as well as emergency drills, while waiting for the walkers to come to my end of the track. If you would like to donate funds to the NSW rescue helicopter, you can still do so via the event website: http://20000steps.diveoz.com.au More detail and links to pictures are available at http://www.diveoz.com.au/discussion_...sp?FORUM_ID=36 You can also read my blog: http://sven.rebreatherworld.com/post/10/225 For pictures from under water, check out Aengus' pics here: http://www.aengusm.com/images/20000Steps/ Absolutely spectacular!
