More IANTD news. ISO/EN certification!

More IANTD changes. The agency has just been through a successful certification process according to the European standards (CEN). This now brings IANTD among the agencies that follow the trend of standardization of recreational diving in Europe, allowing among other things easy crossovers between them as they all conform to common minimum standards for the recreational diving levels (three diver + two instructor). Other agencies areBaracuda, SSI, PADI and others.

WHICH IANTD? You are aware, I presume, that there's a literal "fight for the soul" going on within IANTD right now (including a lawsuit), yes?

It would be an RHQ that gets the certification, not the head agency..

Look at ANDI's, PADI, and SSI's certifdcations.. Its all through their regional rep.

In some countries like Greece it is an important thing.. Officially the rules are active its just that some EU countries are not enforing them yet.. In places they are enforced only EUF certified programs can be legally taught..

Yes, of course I know that this is "problem"!
However, for sure IANTD S.r.l (Italy) got the cert. They posted me the new yesterday.

Re: More IANTD news. ISO/EN certification!

This is what they did:

EN 14513-3 "Dive Leader" Divemaster
EN 14413-1 "Scuba Instructor Level 1"

Don't ask me what they mean because I didn't read the EN articles.
