Cheers Rodge Neither, Get the Salvo 18W, better light temperature than either of those two and longer burn time for the same batery pack and a much nicer balast. I just switched my 21W to the bulb upgrade and its very impresive. Talk to the man at Diving nicnacks and he will expalin. ATB Mark Chase

![]() | Re: Here we go again,The Halcyon HID is dead again If you have a bulb HID (very fragile) you can use the new M11 Bulb. They are tougher and handlethe abuse a bit better. Below is the cheapest I could get them, currently have the 12 degree and it works great. Also no changes needed just plug it in. http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2204 |

My understanding is that the 18 and 21W Salvo both use the same bulb at this time. Apparently with HIDs the ballast determines the output, but if anyone knows different I will defer to you (I read this on the web Salvo 24w or Agir 21w Anyone seen both under water?....does the 24w really shine brighter? Is the Salvo more yellow or is that just the older ones? Cheers Rodge ). If you go to the Salvo page there is only the 10W or 21W shown now, apparently to simplify the product line for dealers (but supposedly the 18W is still available by request). The Salvo light has been widely discussed on direxplorers and other boards, and I read just about every post before making a decision. There is a consensus that the Brightstar bulb used by Salvo is more impact resistant than the WA bulb. I am going to take delivery of a Salvo 21W very soon. The color temperature of this light is 6500 Kelvin, which will give blue white light. The old Brightstar bulb no longer used gave yellowish light. I don't know anything about the Agir Brokk -- just put it down because of the location. People do seem to like their wings.Chris |
