Is this the area where the Queen of the North hit the rock off Gil Island in Wright Sound?

This report said Gil Island http://www.cjad.com/content/cp_artic...s/n032275A.htm

Re: Quenn of the North Sinks!

By now I take everyone has heard it is deep? Pity.

Re: Quenn of the North Sinks!

From the witness reports, sounds like she went deep. They are talking about her going vertical and heading down. There was mention of 350 m depths in the vicinity.

Pity...

Not so fast there Jeff, you getting a meg or not?. The way I see it the bottom might be at 350m but the boat is almost 200m long right?

Pack, unpack, pack, unpack.

Yes about the meg. I will be picking it up in May at the hatchery and taking the training there. This works better timing wise and travel wise because I will be on the island diving the week before that, either Nanaimo or Port Hardy with my RIB.

Crap, it sank in 400 metres of water in Wright Sound.

Oh well, just bring out the other toys.
