Chris Boardman from the UK has also writen a great article about owning an X scooter for a year. Both of these can be found under "Whats New" on our home page www.dive-xtras.com Thanks Ben

The anode, by the way, is something that IMHO is a great idea. It should basically eliminate corrosion issues with proper maintenance, including in places that are hard to properly maintain (e.g. the seal area of the scooter) The SSR speed control is cool as well.... Hmmmmm.... perhaps my next scooter will be an "X"... I love my SS, but man, its HEAVY around the boat......

The online store prices are valid, even if the text does not yet reflect the Sierra. The Liion pack may take a little longer as we may do a test team version for the first batch. If you want to get in on the Liion testing, drop me a line For any ordering you can always just email orders@dive-xtras.com and I will take care of it that way.

I have had two LB scooters permanently submerged in aerated salt water for the last 5 months. One has a zinc, one doesn’t.The anode, by the way, is something that IMHO is a great idea. The one without the zinc has some white corrosion, not serious by any means, but it has corrosion. The one WITH the zinc still looks EXACTLY the same as the day I put it in. The scratches are still shiny. Its almost like magic. I understand the science behind it, but its still amazes me to see how well it works

(other than body lengths, of course) The webstore is still out of date, but the main website is upto dateThe 2006 model is the Sierra, details can be found under whats new on our home page. www.dive-xtras.com The old Frisco and Echo have been replaced with a single model with some upgrades. All the upgrades are retrofittable. The biggest change is the trigger shift speed control that will allow you to effectivly change speed on the fly
