Re: Online store in UK

I use Mike's regularly I bought my VR3 from them in January last year. I've just had my vr3 upgraded to the VPM and C4 two weeks ago again via Mike's. I bought a twinset from them, a dry suit and lots of other bits and pieces. I also know a number of divers in west london who use mike's regularly.

In my view they are reputable and I'd have no concerns about ordering a vr3 over the internet from them. I go to the store in west London personally so have no experience of mail order and am basing this on my experience of visiting the store and talkign to the staff. They have always been helpful to me and have sorted out any questions or problems I've had with kit I've bought promptly. If they haven't felt I've needed a piece of kit they've been straight with me and told me not to buy it or to wait.

I don't know if they are the cheapest for VR3s, at the time I bought mine they were very competitive, I did find someone slightly cheaper and they matched the price for me.

I've no commercial relationship with mike's.

Angry Re: Online store in UK

Hi folks,

I just received my good yesterday, is my first time deal with online store. I nervous; monies are transferred to him.
I make numerous called to shop ask for the shipped reference number and dated of shipment and check with the carrier service in UK.

First I checked Parcel Force online service trace the number of given me is negative, I doubt what he saying, making me more concerned about the dive store reputation. I make a called to Parcel Force ask for the shipment, receptionist told me that no such number, I called to the shop clarify what the circumstances, he told me that is shipped is out last week 24 Feb.

28 Feb I checked online service, I founded 27 Feb collected by carrier service not what he told me shipped out on 24 Feb, I very disappointed his services.
It reliable store but poor services with ignored all the mail.

Hi Jason, to be fair to Mikes WW, parcelforce tracking numbers do not appear instantly on their tracking site. They can take 2-3 days to appear, it does not work the same way as FedEx/UPS/DHL etc. lots of people in the UK order stuff from Mikes WW without any problems whatsoever.

Re: Online store in UK

I used to work in Hong Kong. In my experience in buying things online from either the US and UK, normally the items arrive in Hong Kong pretty quickly, but they tend to get stuck in HK customs for a few days before you receive the item...

HK Customs similar to UK customs & excise in terms of delay, but no VAT or duty charges (except on tobacco, perfume and alcohol, iirc) Or maybe i've just been lucky

Re: Online store in UK

Hi Andy,

I don’t know Parcel Service have very poor track and trace is outdated, can get instantly, but still on time delivered my good, Parcel Force consider world wide carrier services but no contact and counter in Hong Kong.

Mike’s consider reliable, the only thing he would reply email to clients.
I just say customer’s services are so important, do not ignore email from the customer whatsoever.
