| RebreatherWorld Sponsor ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Usn Dive Manual / Usn Tables anyone knows if the new USN tables are still applicable for EAD calcs on common nitrox tables? The existing EAN tables from NOAA for EAN 32 and EAN 36 were done in 2000 and have not been updated to the new USN tables that were just released. A 5th Edition of the NOAA Diving Manual will be worked on over the next 12 months or so and I am sure the tables in there will be updated. The new USN Air Tables have eliminated the 10 fsw (3msw) stop and combined it into the 20 fsw (6 msw) stop. They have also included a table for using Air (bottom mix) and 100% o2 for decompression. The new tables are a progression the USN had been moving to. Dr. Hamilton and I had done a contract survey for the USN in 2000 where we found many operations already doing this and it looks as though the USN has adopted those results. A quick look at the .70 atm constant PO2 tables do not show a change. Cheers JDS

| aquanaut Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Usn Dive Manual / Usn Tables ![]() interresting to note that surface o2 decompression is still on the required 5min. airbrakes after 30min. o2 / compared to better 25min. o2 / 5min. air or even 12min. o2 / 6min. airbrake. further the US is still stuck in antiquities with their imperial units together with 2 other countires (liberia and burma - myanmar), wherelse the evolutionised rest of the world formally adopted to the SI metric units. ![]() ...return of backwardness as the former tables included metric units... |
