Malin Head Rescue Centre - Threatened Closure

Hi All
For those of you who have dived in the waters off Donegal in the North West Coast of Ireland, although you may not have know it at the time but if a diver got into difficulty the Malin Head Rescue Centre (Coast Guard) was close at hand to organise rescue.
Over the past few weeks this Centre has been threatened with Closure. As a regular diver in these waters, I know how much this rescue centre means to us all.

We have started an On-Line Petition to try and change these Politicans minds and if I could ask those of you who can, to sign this petition.
We need as many signatures as possible.

Hi Guy's

Thank you for your support with this petition and for taking the time to sign it there are several petitions like this from all parts of Ireland and I do hope they have some impact on changing the decision to Close Malin Head Coast Guard Radio Station and others around Ireland that have served Divers and other sea users very well for many years.

I was talking to the guy's up at the Malin Centre on Monday and they are expecting a decision at the end of April but they feel it is already a done deal and they appreciate the work being done through peptitions and other projects that will be coming on stream to gather public support for keeping these centres open.
