1 electronic pod 1 scrubber. electronic pod will house anything you want to put in it, within reason, designed to fit all standard inspo gear for testing .bmcls is something to look into at a future date.
cheers dave.try and make it to lids.
mike
Hi Michael,
this seems a really nice project ... Especially interesting for the radial filter ... In the electronics pod, we can also put a Hammerhead head for Inspiration? Is that correct?
Claudio

at the show it will be fitted with a shearwater, but you can fit a hammerhead in .you have place for a primary computer backup and hud,set it up how you want.

Re: Camelion...modular replacement scrubber

how much do you think you will produce your scrubber and electronics pod for ?

and will you offer it with electronics or just the pod so that it is up to the user to put his/her own electronics in ?

cheers
christian

After the LIDS 2008. Questions for those who are gone about the new Camelion. Photo? Impressions? Technical data?
Thanks

Pascal Eeckhoudt who is Fenzy on the forums here. We tried to design something new and different and out of our collaboration we created Camelion. A modular replacement scrubber initially aimed at the inspiration users.

I'm sure a lot of Classic divers are upgrading or improving their gear or are just looking to see if there is something better on the market. We didnt want to create a whole new rebreather but tried to create something new. Our scrubber and electronic pod is the heart of our unit, machined from solid aluminium.

All hoses, lungs, wing and most other equipment from the Inspo fits back on. The electronics pod is designed to hold up to 5 cells, pretty much any electronics can be placed inside and there are 2 oxygen feeds allowing you to run on solenoid and/or a CMF system along side. It gives you the freedom to set up your Rebreather the way you want. We have really tried to make the unit user friendly and field servicable. Cell changes and even solenoid changes take no time at all and no tools are required. The scrubber is under testing but holds 2.6 kg of scrubber and at the moment is radial, although an axial can be placed without modifications. We will be showing this product at the london dive show, but would like to point out that this is a prototype. It is not for sale or in production. We would like to see if there is a place for a product like this on the market and would welcome you to come and take a look. We have a few pre show pictures on Naamloos document

Best regards,
Michael & Pascal
I hate to post a negative reply but I was a little anoyed at seeing this at lids..

only 4 units made, allowed to see in side the electronics pod but not in the other ? claims of radial and axial scrubbers so secret not aloud to see.

max depth dived less than 30 meters, scrubber time not sure

A modular replacement well sort of... no release date... no cost and not yet tested. I wonder why it was even at the show... I walked away from the stand not even looking at the revo which is why I went to the show

thats just how I felt sorry I hope others had a better look at this unit.

So, same story as the Posideon/Cis Mk6 then....

I guess they felt the need to dangle the carrot, nothing wrong in that I say.

Was a mistake to not look at the rEvo, impressive stuff and unrelated to the Camelion apart from they, Hugg and Greenforce share stand costs.

Re: Camelion...modular replacement scrubber

Shame you didnt get to have a look at it, or the rEvo. they are both cool.
Mike really wants to get feedback before he invests heavily in preparing for production including all the appropriate testing. A sensible way to go if you ask me.
