![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dosthill introduces SMB requirement for Rebreather divers. Dosthill [owned by the same people that own Guildy] now require that Rebreather-ers need to tow an SMB throughout the entire dive. It's come from 'on high' and the staff there can't ignore instructions, so don't have a go at them! To be honest it seems a bit pointless to assume that if an Rebreather-er is in trouble a DSMB will help, as if they stop breathing they aren't likely to keep hold of the line! The argument seems to be that staff can see the bubbles of OC-ers so they know where they are...but if an OC-er stops breathing? I'll be difficult and ask where I stand with my SCR.

I will stick to Cromhall, Gloucestershire (near J14 M5) very Rebreather friendly (the owner dives an RB) and you can park next to the water Not a great depth (15M) but good enough for testing dives. They do have the normal sunken bits (boats, training platforms and a car!). ![]() Andrew.

| Technical caver Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Dosthill introduces SMB requirement for Rebreather divers. A good site although the beach end can get very busy with dive schools in the late spring and that means the vis drops quickly. Platform end is normally Ok although an early start (opens at 9:00 ish) gets you in before the crowds. Although when It starts to get cold through the winter you can some times be on your own (solo )It is only 10Km from my house so very handy ![]() Andrew.
