Condolences to friends and family. The report was as tastefully done as can be expected. The presentation is sobering to say the least. The passage where Dave encourages team members to think about their individual safety first really stuck.

Hope you won't mind discussing some elements in the video. This is certainly not to second guess the effort or the team.

It seemed as though the higher density gas at depth compounded the anesthetic effect of the CO2 loading and narcosis.

It also sounded as though Dave was actually coughing as a means to ventilate.

If anyone would care to discuss some these elements, thank you.

these elements have been heavily studied by Simon Mitchell and others. He presented his findings on the phyisology of the event at Oztek this past weekend and a paper on it was publised earlier this year. I will find the referecne for the paper. I wont try to relay the drift of it here but wil find the reference for the paper
