Supermask KM48?

Hello guys,

i hope you are all well. Can anyone help me out in order to get my hands on a supermask KM48 with the Nato pod? Where can someone actually get these? What is the price?

Any good site or any reliable seller? Any experiences in buying from someone over the net would be very helpful.

Other than that, i hope you are having a good time.

The Nato pod is like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ,they are that rare .Not for sale to the general public ,AFAIK there is only one natopod second hand for sale at present & I am top of the list for it

& there is a long list

Thanks for the reply. i really dont get it. Why on earth is this company not letting such an outstanding (i suppose so) tool freely in the market?

I don't see the issues here. it's silly i think. Is there a chance to hijack the world? i would understand if we were talking about guns and weaponry in general, but an extension to a diving mask?

Very strange...I am angry now. Suppose i somehow got it. Would that make the army take notice of me?

Unless they made a huge contract that binds them not to sell freely, then i don't see the reason for such behavior...

What do you think?

I seam to recall its something to do with the usa navy causing the problem but hey ho ,the other answer is to buy the normal scuba pod ,buy a BOV & make a metal frame to stiffen the normal pod .has been done already see here :-

I contacted Deca-Diving, they have none, nor can they get any.

If you have a NATO Military purchase order apparently you can get these M48 CCR Pods.

But if you do not have the NATO order form no amount of begging - crying -bribery or sexual favours will get you one and believe me I've tried.

For the time being, sales of the NATO pod are restricted to government and military. Any dealer that sells to the military hence can get the pod, even if they also sell to the public. But like other restricted sales they aren't supposed to sell them to that market and will more like than not obey by it. Why risk loosing the military sales for a few civilian customers.

There are a bunch of the BOV pods in circulation as initially they were sold to some private parties, so the number is rather low. They were also quite expensive, the mask retails in the $500 neighborhood, while the pod alone is around $800.

Best bet is to look for a second hand one.

Or choose a different mask/BOV combo.
