Clam shell helmet?

Just seen a pic come up from the last DEMA that looks like a clam shell helmet for use with a rebreather. Anyone have details on cost, availability, ect. I know it is likely not really practical but being an old bubble head the idea of a dry helmet calls to me.

I have a clam shell rebreather hat made by Kirby-Morgan for Sea Lab, I have not seen one in current production

This was created by Olivier Isler and the last I heard he was looking for someone to produce the helmet. If someone was offering to produce it I am not sure.

some years ago i tried to get this helmet which is made by olivier. i had some talks with him on the phone. as said he is looking for a company for the production of the helmet. i tried to help out and talked to some producers like aga, draeger, poseidon and kirby, etc... , but they showed no interrest in the production. unfortunately he is not building the helmet upon request for individuals due to labour and cost intensity. it surely is a helmet of best swiss quality.

Wow! Looks a fantastic bit of kit. A real pity no-one wants to manufacture it.

I believe Deep Life are tooling up to build this for a customer of theirs...

I want one too, perhaps we could convince somebody to do a limited run of them. Or buy drawings, and tool up and make a few...

I believe someone is funding to build this helmet, not Deep Life, but ask Alex Deas about it as he has more information. I believe there were other posts on it if you search.
