![]() | Re: Full face mask for rebreather Greetings Jason: Take a look at the Kirby Morgan Supermask at http://www.kirbymorgan.com/products/m48.html I used one of the prototypes with a CCR O2 rebreather, swam hard over span of 30 minutes. Then mounted to MK15 and made OW dive to 90'. Has T-bit that one can hold in mouth or not, diver's choice. Very comfortable, reliable seal, and no noticeable CO2 buildup. But don't take my word for it, because my comments are purely testimonial in nature. Contact Kirby Morgan direct for any test data, if available. I'm pretty sure the mask was tested at NEDU, probably within last 6 years. The mouth pod is separable from the mask. You can breath from a conventional O/C scuba regulator, or have several mouth pods installed to various gas sources and maintain advantages of FFM. Cressi also make a low volume FFM. I have heard good comments about them, I think from Sharon at SM Inc. There is more info on this forum if you search. Hopefully some test data from independent major facility, NEDU, DCIEM or the like. Regards, Jim Brown |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Full face mask for rebreather Hi just to give you a head start on those searches: • the Kirby Morgan has been mentioned (might be hard to come by, though) • the Dräger Panorama Nova (reb. version) has become quite popular • there are conversion kits available for the Interspiro Divator FFM • you can affix a DSV to a Scubapro FFM or even an "old-school" Cressi model These are the "regulars" as far as I can think of them. Have fun with that search, and reading through the posts... ;-) |
