Quote: (Originally Posted by Decodiver) Might be talkin shite here Jon but dont the Meg hoses clamp straight onto the KM pod? Well Dave, yes and no!Dave. If you use the scubapod, you can remove the mouthpiece on the DSV and replace it with the one on the pod, which is much softer and longer. If you use the NATO pod, you order it and you pay extra 80USD to get the adaptor for your diameter of hoses. This will clamp on to any hose, Inspiration, Meg, KISS etc etc... Atleast this is how i had it explained to me. I am still waiting to be able to get my NATO pod but with the Reg. or to use DrMike's sollution. I have yet to see it though. So Mike if you see this pics please.... /Jonny

They have been on for about 6 months now and are working very well. Much prettier than the hose clamp and fabric cover IMHO. Leon has a KM mk48 with the NATO pod, built in bailout. I didnt look very hard at it, but maybe next week I can get some shots of it to post. My mask has the same high effort exaust for water, I push on the front of the mask and vent hard out my nose to drain water and snot. There must be a reason the spring is so tight, have to do some research. I dont mind it, Iknow i wont vent without knowing it! The field of view is less than my normal mask and a bit tough to look through the viewfinder of my SLR housing.

Questions though, the Nova mask lens is made of some type of plastic, right? Do you worry about scratching it? Can scratches be polished out/repaired? Or maybe the lens is replaceable? Sorry for the rapid fire ?s, but the idea of having to buy a whole new FFM if the lens gets s big scratch in it seems like it would be a drag. Scratching up a a $40 mask and buying a new one is one thing... Thanks, -Andy |

There is a specific DSV to use with the Ray or Dolphin (and probably the LAR-5 too) with the P -port on the diver end instead of a mouthpiece. Tell your Aqua lung rep he doesnt know what he is talking about. Good to know about the lens replacement though.the lens is replacable by the user: costs +/- 40 euro at danshop germany regards paul
