Kirby Morgan m48 mask with NATO pod

no answer to my question about position of the mushroomvalves on KM48/NATO

Let me ASS-ume then:
The adapters are used to fit the valves of the original Rebreather?
Does this give slick dead space?

Johnny, thanks for the reply. I had the same thought as Mike, have a look at the profile shot of the Rebreather pod. The K-M second stage housing is fit to the pod, not just a bolt on.

Best ask your supplier for a picture of his mask with the Apeks fitted to see what you're getting into.

Stefan, I just sent him an email forwarding your picture. Hopefully he can clarify this. Thanks for the information i see what you and Mike are talking about now. Hopefully i will get an answer to this soon.

The Rebreather pods have been adapted to units with counterclockwise loop (OMG, SMI, ISC) as well as clockwise gas flow (APD). Below a picture that Chris from TechBlue used to have on his website for a while. Shows you where they go.

Are you sure it was the little 2nd you used, not the larger Superflow
2nd stage that's on the OC version pictured above?
That one sure worked well.

I've only used the superflow.. which is whats on alot of commercial FFM and was sold by abysmal at one time..

So Jonny, am I to understand that the small 2nd stage pictured is the classified/restricted one and is not available with the Rebreather/Nato pod? That kind of sucks. It looks very compact... Oh well. -Andy

Here's a question: Does anybody have experience using a FFM and a neck strap? I wonder how the 2 devices compare comfort wise. One certainly is cheaper than the other... Thanks, -Andy
