| RBW Member | DSV Converter for an AGA Hi Gang, Does anybody know where I can get a generic converter for an AGA FFM. That is to say a blanking plate into which I can mount a mouthpiece and fits where the Interspiro reg fits Would like to be able to use buy a Drager and a PRISM with the AGA. And yes I know I have to close out the oral nasal flappers to prevent CO2 accumulation. Last edited by Bubble Boy; 28th March 2010 at 11:26.. |

| Re: DSV Converter for an AGA I don't think what you are looking for exists. The gas flow in the AGA mask is different. Maybe Martin could come up with something, but I don't think just sticking in a mouthpiece will get you what you want. As far as I know Divematics makes the only BOV that can be mounted on an AGA mask. You could probably get it made with threaded ends so you could easily move it between rebreathers. Ken |

Given we have a milling machine and Lathe at the factory, I will possibly make one myself rather than bother Martin, I have the mask and the mouthpiece is a standard size so shouldn't be too hard. I was hoping to avoid drawing the thing up and if I can buy one cheaply then I will.FD ![]() |

Maybe Martin could come up with something, but I don't think just sticking in a mouthpiece will get you what you want. I am looking for a plug instead of a BOV. The AGA has an adapter where the Comms plug and Interspiro regulator insert. This is the same point at which the BOV connects. I was hoping to buy just the plate and attach it to my loop DSV. This way the loop would stay with the mask. I want it more for diving the Dolphin inshore and will possibly look at a JJ BOV for the PRISMAs far as I know Divematics makes the only BOV that can be mounted on an AGA mask. Ken Not sure what you mean about the AGA gas flow being different though? ![]() From my understanding the Rebreather version of the DIvator differs only in that it doesn't use an interspiro reg and has a solid Oral / Nasal pocket, as opposed to the OC version which has flapper valves to allow for circulation of gas around the mask lens. |

| Re: DSV Converter for an AGA I Ideally there is a bite piece inside the mask to reduce the dead space. From my understanding the Rebreather version of the DIvator differs only in that it doesn't use an interspiro reg and has a solid Oral / Nasal pocket, as opposed to the OC version which has flapper valves to allow for circulation of gas around the mask lens. The gas shouldn't flow across the lens as the warm, moist gas has the opposite effect of the cold OC gas, it will fog the lens. Try Tracy at Divematics, he may well have the needed parts in stock. |

| Bob Downey | Re: DSV Converter for an AGA I have a Biomarine mask that started on a Biopak-240. It has a strange attachment which has inlet and outlet threaded hose connections. It should serve quite handedly if you could lathe adapters for the hose connections to your hoses for your Dolphin. I'll post a pic if you are interested. BTW I already bought and installed a flat faceplate for diving. |

BTW I already bought and installed a flat faceplate for diving. I have a Biopak 240 and it came with the FFM, so have already played with this option. By the tim I've done the conversion it will be easier to machine one up from solid. Thnks for the reply regards Simon |
