Scubapro FFM - Anyone used one?

Been considering getting a scubapro FFM to use with my kiss. has anyone tried one?looked at the mk48 mask but the scubapro seems to be closer fitting, looking for any feedback from people using full face masks on rebreathers in general too

Cheers

Here is one on a meg. It was a royal pain to get the piece on the ScubaPro FFM that fits onto a standard reg. Because the Megs DSV that hooks up to the Mouthpiece is Way larger then standard. I just barely got it mounted onto mine. Couldn't use the retainer that comes for it. But it still seals no problem there. THere is also an exhaust port under the chin. I use a mouthpiece in mine. So if'n I wanna ditch some loop gas. I just release my lips and blow into the mask. Dumps out the bottom. You have to use a good De fog though.

Re: Scubapro FFM - Anyone used one?

Oh,
And the right port has a screw to remove port. So if you wanna breathe surface air. You can. Go to dive. Screw it closed. Also, you can stick a second stage in there with a on off valve like the Meg adv has. Go off the loop. Slide your DSV closed and open second stage. 2 things instead of one. Which isn't good. But, I just use the ADV anyway. Open the ADV valve and purge it so it forces air through the loop to the mask.... Leave lips off the mouthpiece in the mask and it blows air through the mask and out the bottom exhaust valve. Clearing the loop without you tankin a breath....

The Mask also comes with a bag that fits the loop hoses in it along with the mask. While they are all together...

I do like the ScubaPro mask as it has access to pinch your nose. Which my AGA doesn't. Not a big deal when you get used to the AGA but I like being able to pinch my nose. And the nose plug can be a pain.

Cheers for that, the pictures are interesting looks like the whole thing dosent stick out too much further than wearing a standard mask? certainly looks closer fitting than the aga mask.

Well, it sticks out farther then a normal mask. Since all that would be there is a reg. And the DSV is a little deeper than a reg.

But, it doesn't stick out much farther. And, Unless you run the hoses into the sides of the Mask. You can't get it closer.

And I though about running the hoses into the sides of the mask... LOL.. Would be cool job. But, Don't know how well it would work. And closing the loop would have to be figured out...

That little port on the bottom is for clearing water. Makes it pretty easy... Take a breath and blow into mask. Water goes out the bottom port.
