Nasal Reg as ADV

Hello All

The new BMCL for the meg got me thinking about possible alternatives for an ADV.

I was thinking of fitting my Panorama FFM with a 2nd stage on one of the side ports. I know people have done this for 'nasal' breathing as a possible self rescue.

I was wondering if you descend until you start to feel the volume drop in your loop, if you just open your mouth will the 'nasal' valve fire off and equalize the loop volume, or will you need to take a breath in through your nose and dump it into the loop that way?

It will definately fire off if you open you're mouth or breathe in through nose and exhale into the dsv. So it should work fine for that. Just have to play with adjust knob on side reg. Sometimes they have a tendency to make the mask shake on your face during decent if its not adjusted right.
