Link I am interested in the field of vision in particular compared to the standard KM48 it is based on. Also any information on price and availability would be appreciated. Cheers, Ben. |

Never dove a KM, but I did try the standard datamask a few months ago..., horrible field of vision...., and the mask is outright heavy, like it wanted to slide down my face... Way to many sacrifices in the way of comfort, FOV, weight for little information benefit. |

This is true, but it can act as a backup computer for deeper dives in guage mode. I always run a bottom timer and tables as backup, so if I could incorporate it into my mask that would be great. Combine it with the benefits of a KM48 style mask (full face with ability to use any regulator and maintain vision) and it seems like a decent concept. If the field of vision is the same as the standard data-mask then it is still better than the km48... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hollis Full Face Mask with Dive Computer Hello, It certainly looks like a standard KM48 with a computer added. I've been diving the KM48 and BuddyPhone on-and-off for about a year now. I'll be selling mine shortly. I'm used to a mask with a very large field of vision. For me the advantages of the KM48 don't overcome the field of vision. In addition the mask is a little small for my rather large mug. It was worth it on most dives as it was nice to have a full communications set-up. Last trip the buddy phone went belly up so I'm back to a normal mask until I decide to try another FFM. On the the other side, my buddy likes the KM48 very much and doesn't notice any problems with the field of vision or fit. She's used to diving a smaller mask than I and her face is a a bit smaller than mine so the mask fits better. Sincerely, Paul ------------------------- This is true, but it can act as a backup computer for deeper dives in guage mode.
