I ordered the same setup Friday. Hope it gets here by Wednesday so I can have it ready for our Texas Clipper trip this weekend. Im very excited!
just a small advise, if you never dived a FFM befor, first try it in a pool or alike, not directly on expeditions
and do some drills, taking it off under water, even putting it on under water, do some bail-out drills etc....

I have to say I agree with Paul.

The best way is to find yourself an instructor or another diver who has some experience with a FFM and in particular this set up and get some advise on how to correctly dive with it as It is very different to what you have already been using!!!!

Failing that read back on some of the posts on the subject and then go very slowly....Think about what you're about to do and make sure you are prepared for what you're about to do. It's important you are comfortable removing and replacing the mask underwater and running through different scenarios.......

At first it will seem a bit daunting but in time I'm sure you'll love it.

Good luck.

Regards,

Lance

Re: Drager FFM with Golem BOV

Lance..
  1. What was your approximate set up cost here in Ostrailya. (Granted my set up will be on an Inspo Vision.)
  2. How durable are the plastic lenses? I imagine that they would ultimately get rather scratched. Are they an item that can be changed in the future?
Cheers mate
