FFM Use (From the O2 convulsion thread)

Thanks for the reply, good info.

Does the addition of the nasal cavity space in FFMs with a nose/mouth skirt signifcantly affect dead space and CO2 retention or buildup? The times I've used FFM in the past I found myself just breathing only through my nose, albeit on OC.

I noticed that APD is offering a FFM option for the Evolution. Any info on that?

The mask on APD's website is the Dräger Nova (Apeks in UK) FFM.
It has three of their QCs for DSV, 2nd stage(s) and comms.
Afaik the APD/Dräger connector is not yet available, and no date has been set for release.
Dräger has DSV/connectors for their own civilian and military units.
If your Rebreather's hose diameter fits any of them it should work.
There is a picture of Greg Stanton's mask with FGT1 DSV and Meg hoses in the gallery.
