![]() | Re: Drager Panorama FFM questions Cheers Steve, purge tension seems ok to me. As mentioned above gently holding the mask as you clear helps to ensure unwanted water goes out through the purge, not around the skirt. If straps are done up correctly, should not be necessary to hold the masks to purge - A steady blow from the nose until with practise you can stop just before blowing bubbles is all that is needed. Tensioning straps in the right order is critical - Drager make a song and dance about it in the manwell. Being half Cherman, naturally I followed these orders and lo and behold never leaked ever - so far - even after several mask off / B/out drills and back again. I just use spit, and it seems to do the trick. Havent toothpasted the inside yet, could a more experienced user of the mask advise if its necessary?? Cheers Bit wiesrd when ascending at first feels like mask wants blow off - once again (after the first few goes hanging on to mask like grim death) s good blow through the nose and Mr Boyle is satsified . Works for me. Drager claim they put a film on the mask that precludes fogging. Must be true as on the times I forgot to spit, it never fogged up. Might wear off with time though. Rinsing with fresh water seems to be the way to go. |

I had a reply from Drager when I found stains on the inside of the lens caused when I had it packed away and the straps contacted the inside of the lens. I now have a piece of soft cloth inside the mask to stop this ever happening again.......YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!Drager clearly stated the lens has an anti fog/anti scratch coating on the inside and the stains cannot be removed...otherwise it will remove the coating ruining the lens. Funny thing now is the lens foggs up directly over the marks......so obviously what they say is correct. Regards, Lance
