Draeger Panorama

So I just picked up my Panorama from the Meg stand at DEMA
Cheers to Leon and the boys for the show special

Tossing up going and seeing Jakup for his Golem BOV when its finished, little worried about the small size of the diaphragm..

Anyway for the time being wondering how are other people configuring OC Bailout with a Apeks second stage (with Port on it) ?

Are you going in the side of the mask or necklace for a quick change over or what ?

Im using the side reg as you know - the reasons are covered in that thread but basically I can nose breathe to get instant bail gas - for full bail switch to OC with p ported 2nd stages (while nose breathing)

Let me know if you want some 2nd stage adapters

I hope these masks become standard kit for all Rebreather users - theres little/no downside to using them

Hi Mike thanks for the info.
Could you pleae explain to me the procedure of using the Nova in a bailout senario where you would need to bail on maximum depth and then use different gases on the way up.

But basically my prefered method is to stay on the mask. If I need to bail to non p ported 2nd stages Ill swap the 2nd stages underwater. Worse case I just bail off the mask to normal mask

i have read the threads yet, but wanted to ask you a couple of things about this. i know you have had the km48 and now have the panorama.

you seem to favour the panorama, (don't know about commission

) but i would like to ask you about how do you hydrate yourself.

i have the km48, and i have no problem with it, cause i just remove the pod, and i can use my camelbak easily. also bail out into different regs is no problem. only downside is that is does have a tunnel vision. off course i am sure you know all this.

how do you eat/ drink with the panorama? do you remove it, or do you do somethine else?

I fitted a p port to a water container.

i put this in the main p port and with the side reg on the mask i can breathe whilst taking my time drinking/eating.

Can basically eat anything i can fit through a p -port, banannas, chocolate, Jknox

So when you remove the DSV/bov (if you have any) doesn't that cavity get full of water? do you just free flow of the side reg after that?

i am a bit confused. unfortunately i'll have to try one before i buy a ffm this time.

Maik, i know we've had a couple of arguments in the past, but as a fellow diver i would appreciate it if you could supply a video demonstration of the capabilities of the panorama. (i think this would legally allow you some commission...

)

you can remove the dsv the mask wont flood if you keep your head slightly tilted forward. (water cant go uphill

)
Remember also you have an internal mouthbite so whole mask cant flood anyway if you do look up

Basically you just look down a bit, pull out the dsv, push in the p ported drinking bag and then drink as normal. When finished look down a bit again pull out drinking bag and re install dsv.

thanks for taking the time and replying. as you saying that it has an internal mouthpiece, when you try to insert some bananas or food, how do they get through.

now regarding the commission, i know you are joking. if you need some legal support, then just let me know...i'll make them get me some panorama too....
