Speaking of which, how is the ocean diving around Perth ?

Temp ? Thick wetsuit or dry ? Lots of wrecks ? Lots of boats to go out ? Usually flat or rough sea ? Etc.

Some scuttled stuff and of course the Key Biscayne
Diving charter Trips Perth Western Australia
Most of the good wrecks are in 60-100m.

Quote:
Lots of boats to go out ?
Only one worth diving with, best tech boat in WA. Image Dive and Charters

Quote:
Usually flat or rough sea ?

Hi Phi,

Chriso has the water temps on the money and that there really is only one option for tech diving charters in Image Dive. temps suit diving wet but deep stuff is better done dry IMO.

As for ocean diving, the shallow stuff around Rottnest is is poorly suited to CCRs. Lots of up and down and swim throughs. Lovely diving but a single tank is king. Lovely diving in the spots that Luke knows.

As for the Wrecks; the pick of the bunch is in 42m and is the Key Biscayne. A jack up Oil rig that went down whilst under tow.

The scuttled wrecks are well....scuttled wrecks. Great conditions and some of the easiest sub 50m diving one can do. The pool of divers that are up to diving them is quite small though. CCR wise there are only about 3-4 of us and a few more than given a bit more time and experience will be ready to start diving a bit deeper. The shallowest is in 58m and they roll out to about 120m The Norwale is the deepest one that I have done and is in about 120m (cant remember exactly).

Now if Chriso, Kieran, Ben, Kim, Laurent, and a few others got busy practicing there would be a few more ready to step up to these wrecks.

The DIR boys seem to have disappeared

Drop me a line when your present arrives

Im sorry, Its got nothing to do with the thread but I just have to put this pic up again..it still cracks me up everytime I look at it. The look on your faces when you surfaced and realised your 'treasure chest' was actually an old battery was damn priceless!

PS hey can you let me have a copy of the 'attack on Boris' pic for my site?
