Would anyone care to add to the list of things that we should include? For example:

Sorb (since I dive EACs, do we need to specify brands and sizes?)
EACs
CCR brands carried
CCR brand parts carried
Rental tanks available (and sizes)
CCR friendly boat

Please let us know the essentials so that we can get started.

Since it looks like at least Saturday diving is going to be blown out, VidoDvr and I are meeting up for the 1:40 P.M. IMAX (Fort Lauderdale) movie, Sharks 3-D. There will also be an interesting discussion of sharks after the show. In case anybody else is landlocked tomorrow and would like to join us, I'll see you there.

We are hoping that the weather will clear for Sunday afternoon's dive. However, if the seas are still too rough, we will try again for Monday afternoon.

We had a couple of nice dives this past weekend. For the report, click here.

We had three Florida SCRUB divers aboard this six pack (though one was on OC, awaiting delivery of his Copis Meg). Now, if we can just get everyone to show at the same time, we should be able to fill the boat, and then we can opt for a single, long dive or whatever we want. By the time everyone finishes their training and takes delivery of their units, we really will be getting somewhere.

Hope to have a pic or two to post soon. Please do join us this coming weekend, probably Saturday afternoon, for the next Florida SCRUB dive.

What a great idea. Thinking real hard about comming to Florida to go diving, it would be nice that there is a location and a group of fellow CCR divers that one could hook up with. Tim and Jim are you guys still diving? I have to pay off Mexico first but getting the bug for Florida.

Will you have a news letter or boat schedules for the S.C.R.U.B. club?

The first things we are working on:

Getting enough people to fill boats so that we can have CCR oriented dives (one long dive, etc.);
Spread sheet of CCR friendly boats (will be posted/added to library when ready);
Spread sheet of CCR friendly shops (will be posted/added to library when ready).

Once we get this done, we can see where it goes. I have been posting all of our dives to spread the word at this point. If we can get enough people involved, we might just get our own little dedicated thread area.

So, please join us when in the area. If you are a local, we try to do something one day ever weekend. Make sure to join up with us soon!

First day of training down 4 more to go.

It's just like you said Howard, one minute you're on the bottom and the next you're on the surface. It was a blast though racked up a wapping 2 hours today.
