![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Tenneco double drop Night dive - May 14th - Fort Lauderdale Adrian did send me a nice PM that he would drop my tanks at FE. They cannot be filled until I arrive since valves are travelling seperately with me. John, what size tanks do you want? There are enough of us here with spares, we can just loan you a set of ours, filled. Where is your hotel? Isn't the mothership located in the Northwest? John Your timetable is doable if nothing goes wrong. However since you are a) traveling by air to MIA, b) traveling by car via I95 across Dade and Broward, and c) involving the SCRUBS, the odds of it going off without a hitch go down significantly. Might be a bit late for that, because it's my understanding that the cylinders are on the UPS Truck as we speak!Tony ![]() ![]()

I mean to loan him some just for that dive. The odds are, that the flight will be late, the rental will have 4 flat tires, I95 will be shut down from a tanker explosion, and the hotel will have lost the reservation, so why not cut FE out of the scenario. No sense in running up to Pompano from Miami, then back down to Fort Lauderdale if someone can bring sorb and tanks.![]() ![]() |

I am there to dive for the week so count me in for this trip. It would be great if you had tanks available as a back-up. I use 3L AL (19cuft) with regular 90 degree valves not those special ones for the inspo. Any BO 40 cuft or above works. Holiday Park Hotel and Suites, 1250 West Hillsboro Boulevard, Deerfield Beach. One thing I just thought about is that I am doing a am dive with Eric the next morning and I need to see if I can get the tanks refilled if needed in time for that dive. Does the FE opening time generally allow this and then time to get to the boat dock? John John, what size tanks do you want? ![]() | Re: Tenneco double drop Night dive - May 14th - Fort Lauderdale I get into Miami at noon on the 14th. Rent a car, drive to Ft Lauderdale, check in hotel, pickup tanks and sorb from Adrian, go over to Fill Express to fill tanks (O2, Dil and BO, go back to hotel to assemble CCR do checks (maybe 1 hour), get a bite to eat., go to meet the boat. Hello SCRUBS, I'm Brian Patrick. Some of you already know me but I fig'rd I could/should make my first post here after lurking forever Do you think its doable? I would think so but I am not familiar with all the locations, traffic etc. If it is then I would like to go. What are the expected depths and run times? Thanks, John ![]() John - Your plan is easily doable, simply drive like I and most other SFL natives do and you can be at the boat two hours early ![]() To book the dives, you can do either of the following (but please not both!):
Post-dive, we usually gather at the Quarterdeck on Cordova Road Last edited by deepstops : 8th May 2008 at 11:00. |
