Re: Upcoming Trip: March 21st, 22nd & 23rd

As stated by Adrian before, Sam and I are in. In fact, I think we're going to try to get on that boat for the morning dives cause it seems difficult to do morning here in FLL and afternoon there, even if it's only shallow reefs.

How do I reach the boat ?

How can that be...I won't believe it until I see it...But this is South Florida and that's not supposed to happen in our house...This is not the Northeast...Red always triumphs over black down South...We'll just have to see about that...I may just have to turn on the Bat Light and mobilize the militia of Optimas divers for this trip...We won't go down without a fight!!!

Alright all you Optimas out there, we've just officially moved to DEFCON 3 and we need you to join us for tomorrow's dive, because the Megs are making a power-play and we cannot allow that to happen, so we must stand our ground and continue to assert our dominance!!!

Resistance is not futile and we will not be assimilated into The Collective by the Borg!!!!!

The boat's website is http://www.rjdiving.com/ and their telephone number is 305-861-6277. That should be a direct number to speak with Mike and let him know you with Howards rebreather group.

Re: Upcoming Trip: March 21st, 22nd & 23rd

Ok, Sam and I are booked for morning and afternoon tomorrow at RJ Diver. So is the rest of the list for the afternoon dive (good thing I called, they weren't sure if it was tomorrow or next saturday.

What's the link for the weather that you guys use, by the way ? I can't find it in my email archive, from last year.

Re: Upcoming Trip: March 21st, 22nd & 23rd

The winds are still blowing, but that shouldn't last for too much longer, as tomorrow's forecast is looking pretty good - So pack your scrubbers, calibrate your sensors, put fresh batteries in your units/handsets/cameras and pack your gearbags, because we're diving Miami!

TONIGHT
EAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS. NEAR-SHORE SEAS 2 TO 4 FEET.
OFFSHORE...SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET EARLY SUBSIDING TO 2 TO 4 FEET.
INTRACOASTAL WATERS A MODERATE CHOP. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AFTER MIDNIGHT.

SATURDAY
SOUTHEAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS BECOMING SOUTH IN THE
AFTERNOON. SEAS 2 FEET OR LESS. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.
SHOWERS LIKELY AND CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS.

SATURDAY NIGHT
WEST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS BECOMING NORTHWEST AFTER
MIDNIGHT. SEAS 2 FEET OR LESS. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.
SHOWERS LIKELY AND CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS.

OK OK OK
I just called and booked my spot. They told me that was a total of 8 Rebreather and 6 OC. Said since it was an afternoon dive that they were flexible on bottom time and that we should get a pretty good run time
