Adrian,

Just don't get the two types of jimmy hats mixed up! One of em's for pissin', and the other is for not getting pissed off.

Wait, you don't to piss off either one. You'll figure it out.

This is a second attempt at this trip since the weather forced a cancellation of the last one in February.

The Etoile de Mer is located in approximately 150 feet of water off of Miami. RJ Diving's Big Com Ocean will depart at 8:30AM from the Miami Beach Marina for this trip. This wreck, and a few others in the immediate area, were sunk in 2001. I have not been on these wrecks yet, and this would be a great chance to check them out.

Anyone interested? Perhaps a scooter dive to two or more of these wrecks?
sorry howard, i'm busted back to OC, I have a class that weekend...

Adrian,

We, well I had a long surface swim, dived with Mike and RJ's last night. He didn't seem to be to sure about Saturday. I'm going to call him Friday for confirmation.

Somebody start juggling chipmonks while naked and facing East. No, make that West. The dive gods must be appeased so we'll get good weather!

Once it gets beyond 2-4, I am out. We can always dive another day when the conditions are better.

I am not optimistic about this trip going.

Maybe I can talk Neil to come down also. If you guys have anything going for that weekend let me know.

Re: Upcoming Trip: Etoile de Mer Wreck 03/08/2008

Don (Dsix36) called me, b/c he was unable to access a computer, and asked me to notify the group that he would be unable to make it tomorrow, because he had to work Saturday.

Not sure about tomorrow morning? Even though the winds are suppossed to me blowing from the West tomorrow, it still looks pretty rough.

Howard, will you be talking to Captain Mike at any point?

Re: Upcoming Trip: Etoile de Mer Wreck 03/08/2008

Scott and I won't make it now. Couldn't get the tanks filled today. Too much going on.

After talking to Mike on Wednesday night, he didn't seem to sure about Saturday. We're all locals, so he figures we can do it when the wx is better. No sense in risking injury.

Looking at the forecast, and knowing that West wind doesn't help in Biscayne, especially if there is any North or South contingent to it, I'd say the conditions will be rough. If the winds are South-anything, the current will be ripping on that wreck.

Scott and I are doing the Northern Light in Key Largo with Silent World Diving on Monday. Any takers?

Eric
