Who's in for some diving?

Finishing up a consulting assignment on Feb 12 and then heading down to FL on 14th or 15th for about two weeks for some diving. I am thinking first week in Cave country and the second week wreck/reef in southeast. However, schedule is mostly flexible. Last time I was in FL the biggest problem was the uncertainty of getting a boat to go out on weekdays as I am by myself and most ops wanted minimum two or four divers. Kind of cramps my style and the whole reason for driving down. So this time I thought i would see whom might be available in advance and then see if we could lock in some dives. Anyone?

Hi John,

I'm usually good to go anywhere in the South Florida area on any weekend. I tend to reserve my weekday diving for very special dives, then it justifies taking the time off from the office. But please keep us informed via this thread, and I'm sure other Florida S.C.R.U.B.'s divers will come on board, and I'll see if I can swing it and join you.

Also, keep in mind that the advance notice gives us time to make our sacrificial offerings to the weather gods!

Update

Looks like I will be arriving in Marianna, FL on Tuesday 2/12. Have a guide and buddy lined up for diving Wed 2/13 and Thu 2/14. After that things are not firmed up. Might go down to High Springs area for a few days and then back to Marianna before heading back north on Thu 2/21.

Looks like this trip will be caves only and the SE will have to wait until next trip.

Thanks everyone for you suggestions and help.

If anyone is going to be in the areas during these dates I can still use a buddy that is familiar with the cave systems.

I am thinking about going down around Feb 19 to 24 in the Keys area and would dive 2 days. Northern Lights, Duane, Bibb, Spiegel, etc. would all work. I may have a ccr friend or oc friend interested in going to.

Let me know if anyone is getting together in this time frame.

South Florida Diving Headquarters Has a trip scheduled for the afternoon of the 17th to the Hydro Atlantic. We have 4 divers signed up already and there are still 4 more spots open if anyone is interested.
