| Re: January Spiegel Grove, Duane, Bibb interest? It helps. I doubt we will be leaving the dock at 7am on Saturday. We have divers driving down that morning. Between 8 and 9 is more realistic.I figured the boats where day charters and will do what the divers want. I guess I'm wondering what the divers want. I live in Fla and am interesting in diving. One thing I'll need to figure out is when to show up. If the boat leaves at 7am Sat, I won't be driving down that day. If it leaves after 9am, I would.... making a difference in cost of the trip. Also, ever spent 8 hours on a boat in 4-6 ft waves? ![]() As for spending 8 hours on a boat.... I plan on spending most of the time under the boat if you know what I mean... We'll let you know soon what the proposed departure time is.

Spending all day out also saves you ~90 minutes of abusive 'water time'... vs. coming back mid-day. Sitting at anchor or drifting along is alot more pleasent than taking it on the chin again the waves... Wish I was joining you guys for this one...As for spending 8 hours on a boat.... | French Erik Current Rebreather/s: | Re: January Spiegel Grove, Duane, Bibb interest? This sounds so awesome, however I won't be able to make it. It's just too early in January for me to be able to get more vacation days. Also, my buddy is getting CCR trained (Meg, bleh) in early Feb (he'll be freezing his ass in Seattle), it would have been easier if he could come (same company). Anyway, I am very jealous, I hope to be able to dive with you guys soon. Nothing sounds better than hours of bottom time on the SG. |

| Re: January Spiegel Grove, Duane, Bibb interest? My status has changed and I am now tentative, at best, for these dives. I will not officially know whether or not I will be able to get wet that weekend until the morning of the 11th. Consequently, please put me on the Standby/Alternate List. Thanks

| Re: January Spiegel Grove, Duane, Bibb interest? Happy holidays everyone! Communication has been lax from my end through the holiday, and for that I apologize. I have been out of town on assignment since the 16th of December (protection of the motherland and all that), and I'm not due home until the 31st. Ok, here's the deal. We have enough divers for a single boat. I have to cut the second boat loose since it does not appear that we will be able to even come close to filling it. We just lost three divers off the list, putting us at 11 confirmed and 1 maybe. We also have a list of alternates, and they need to let me know if they are still prospects. This is where the rubber meets the road. There are only about 15 days left until the Largo trip! Silent World requires a deposit to maintain the boat for our schedule. For the group rate, I am required to put the boat for both days on my credit card, so the deposit will be payed by me. However, I need each of you to hold your spot with a $50 deposit to me by the 30th (The cost of the trip for one boat is $200 each person). I am sending each of you a PM with the PayPal details. I am making arrangements for consumeables with The RBW Store. Please let me know ASAP what you will be requiring. Also, if you have not made hotel arrangements, I would recommend you do so immediately. I am headed to the Middle East from the 3rd through the 10th, so in my absense, Scott (Padipro) will be in charge of the details. I look forward to seeing you all and enjoying the dives in the Keys next month! THINGS EACH OF YOU NEEDS TO DO IMMEDIATELY:

However, if in town, I might be able to make at least one day of diving. You can add me to the alternates' list at this point. Unfortunately, I won't know if I can make it until sometime in January. |
