MAV Question

Attached is plumbing circuit for MAV which has Needle valve that can control two O2 inputs. The Pink , Blue and yellow is basically the circuit of my current use MAV on GAF on which I have no ADV and just inject. I decided to do a circuit design to include ability to add offboard O2 and control it with same needle. With this layout O2 will not only flow through the needle but to other O2 input if it is left open. With this in mind my question is can anybody suggest a good check valve I could add to O2 inputs to isolate them.

NACD update

My name is Sandy Robinson, and I have the privilege to be the new Public Relations Chair for the NACD. I would like to thank Craig Walters for his dedication over the last 2 years, and thank the current committee members, Doug Rorex, Elisha Gibson, Bob Schulte, and Ernie Rookey for their work.

One of my goals over the next twelve months is to communicate some of the volunteer and educational efforts of the NACD and its members to the diving community. I hope to post something monthly on this forum for your information. I will start by mentioning Doug Rorex who organized the 8th Annual clean-up of Cannonball Cave in Missouri in August. Also in August, Tim Owens made a presentation to the South Florida Divers. His presentation included cave diving training, safety, equipment, and an overview of some of the north Florida caves. We appreciate the efforts of Doug and Tim for handling these conservation and educational projects.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the weekend of November 5, 6, and 7. On Friday evening, the annual NACD social will be held at Ginnie Springs. Food, refreshments, and entertainment will be provided, and Ben Bright will be hosting the third annual chili cook-off. On Saturday, plan to attend the 42nd NACD Annual Seminar at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center in Gainesville. The NACD has lined up some outstanding speakers and some fantastic prizes. There is a $40 fee for NACD members and a $45 fee for non-members. Finally, complete your weekend on Sunday at the 4th annual CCR Clinic at Ginnie Springs. For the CCR Clinic, there is a $10 donation. You can sign up by going to _www.safecavediving.com_ (http://www.safecavediving.com/). More information to follow.

The NACD has a display at the Man in the Sea Dive Museum in Panama City and is working with the museum manager to determine how the exhibit can be enhanced. If you have any suggestions or cave dive memorabilia that you would like to donate to the museum, please contact the NACD.

I look forward to working for you and for the NACD. If you have any suggestions or wish to volunteer, contact me at _pr@safecavediving.com_ (pr@safecavediving.com).

Mounting of backplate ?

Has anyone tried to mount a common backplate on your rEvo
and what was the result ?

Reason I ask is because I easily get hurt in my back during long dives
But when I dive OC :ocdeath: I have no problems.

As a solution for me would perhaps be to switch to a back plate.

Hello!
My name is Friedrich - and I come from Germany.
I have been diving for about 8 years now. After some years with open circuit diving, I started with a Drager Ray and bought later a Drager Dolfin. I haven't been diving much the last years with my rebreather, but want to become more active now. Most of my dives this year were OC, mainly on air and one or 2 stages for deco.

Rebreatherworld is really great!

Best regards, Friedrich

Does anyone have the lowdown on what actually happened, maybe even some pics? I'd be interested to know what was being run through the compressor and whether the failure was really related to elevated O2.

In this video Andrew and Ken Koga-Moriuchi conduct a scooter and video survey of the wreck. If possible we will be posting another video related to a series of penetration dives aimed at removed pollutants from engine room.

The rules are simple No fish!

This competition is for Technical and advanced divers to submit their work to go forward to the last ten portfolios. Each photographer can submit a portfolio of 6 images at Jpeg resolution for viewing by the Eurotek team. 72 dpi 2000 by 2000 pixels. The final 10 sets of portfolios will be displayed at Eurotek and delegates at the conference will be able to vote over the weekend by dropping their top 3 into the voting box.

We are looking for images that will inspire others to advance their diving into the world of technical diving.

Please email your choice of 6 images to leigh@eurotek.uk.com
