So, what is an lvi-57? Also, you may want to ask someone to move this post in a different forum (other than e-bay scams). Tibby

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: lvi-57 rebreather tryouts I see, thanks for the clarification. I'm not familiar with it though. I'm sure you know what you're doing so have fun with it hi there ,,its a lvi-57 and not an ida series,it is only oxygen rebreather for now ,,yet i thnk i can work with it,,and it is back worn,,, Sorry, let me explain. This site is organized in various forums. The one you were in when you posted is dedicated to "E-bay scam alerts" which people use to give other people heads-up on scam postings on e-bay. Unfortunatelly there are a lot of these out there. An Rebreather World moderator can move your post in the apropriate forum if you ask them.i dont know what u mean by moving this .......or about ebay scams ???but thank s for the reply... In order to post in the apropriate forum, you can simply click the forum button on the top menu and choose the desired or apropriate forum (topic) for your post. Once in that forum you can just click on the "new post" button. This way one can browse posts by topic or category without having to do a detailed search. I hope this helps more than it's confusing. Best regards and welcome to Rebreather World. Tibby

| Nutty dentist - uwdriller Current Rebreather/s: | Re: lvi-57 rebreather tryouts no no this is a back worn rebreather it was first made in 1964 ,,the 57 does not mean the year.... As this seems to be an o2 rig - 20 meters is definetely out of range, by miles. Max depth i would see at 6 meters. What is the exeptional exposure of navy divers on 02 Rebreather's ? I think it is 10 meters for these guys, so make sure you know what you are doing, think of an o2 monitoring as a pure o2 rig will kill you with depth.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: lvi-57 rebreather tryouts Marwan, it does not matter what year it was made, what it is called or if it is front or back worn. The important point is that it is a pure O2 rig and as such, you should not dive it below 6 metres. If you do not know why, then leave it at home until you do.
