KISS on Ebay

Saw a KISS rig on ebay #260217334341

Item is in USA (Kittery, Me) - seller has no History selling on ebay and states he is selling it for his brother - several pics of item are shown.

Sent him some ??? and am awaiting answers. Have never seen a KISS on ebay before, so pictures are unknown quantity.

Hmm...I'm quite sure I saw exactly those pictures of a CK for sale on ebay some months ago. Only that time the unit was in Italy and also a scam suspect...If I recall correctly

I had the same feeling of "déjà vu" when I saw the photos.

The pictures are of KISS #268 which was stolen (and recovered through me).

I don't know if the sale is legit, but if it is, they sure picked the WRONG "stock" pictures to use

(I did call the owners of #268 today, and they did, in fact, still have it in their possession

)

Got an answer from the supposed seller - he did the same ole BS of trying to sell it to me direct. No paypal accepted either.
His message was full of grammatical errors - like English was not his first language.

Wow, some saavy eBay'er out there got the auction up to $15,000. I guess my CK is worth more than I thought. Anyone want to buy mine, for oh say $20,000?
And if putting fake bids on a fraud eBay auction is illegal, I didn't do it.

We (Buck-O-Five and I) have made sure no unknowing person will get burned by this auction.

Also - I reported this as a stolen property listing to eBay *yesterday*, and today, sent this to the seller:

(1) I know for a fact that the pictures in your post are of a stolen rebreather. I also helped to recover this stolen unit 2 months ago.

(2) The rebreather community is aware of your auction and knows it's a scam

(3) eBay has been informed (yesterday ) that you are advertising stolen property. They were involved when this unit was actually sold the last time. Now – If you don't believe me, check my feedback and look through the items I've purchased... You will see this EXACT item.

(4) I would HIGHLY suggest removing the item for sale.

We'll see how much longer it stays up.

By the way - I wanted to mention to the members here that I am not normally this much of a ***** - But when it comes to the EXACT item I got burned by, and I know for a FACT that it's a scam (based on the pictures alone), I figure I have a pretty good argument to make absolutely sure it gets removed.

If I had even .01% of doubt, I wouldn't go after it this strongly.
