dodgy looking evo ad on fleabay

ebay item number 140210710168

for £4500 buyer gets evo with 3 new cells, 2 new cylinders and choice of size harness and counterlungs. buyer also states "I sent the electronics in for servicing and they were replaced with a completely new head 12 months ago. Since then I have had about 100 hours trouble free diving."

could this be too good to be true for £4500???

as a new member of rebreather world iam not sure if this looks like a usual scam, just it looked too good to be true. Opinions please

As always, the simplest way to identify a scammer is to ask them for th eserial number of the unit and their name and address.
A quick phonecall to APD will verify the owner. If the serial number or owners details are not provided or do not check out, then the buyer should walk away.

I am sure that this is the 3rd time he has advertised this unit the advert is exactly the same every time.

Seems pretty legit to me. He says you can come by and look at it before bidding. If it wasn't on the up and up I don't think he would give that option. Just my opinion though, also the price seems too high for a used unit, again JMO.
