Another possible way to convince bidders you’re legit: Offer to use an ebay APPROVED escrow service in the body of your ad. Details of how to do this are well buried on ebay’s site, but there. They vary by country. APPROVED is very important. Scammers have all sorts of spoof escrow sites. I’ve bought high ticket stuff this way before and the process is a bit of a pain, but does work. I’m really surprised that with the scam rate of RBs as high as it is that this has not become more popular. Perhaps folks just don’t know about it. Cost is variable, from about 1% to as much as 6% or so.

![]() | Re: I'm not scamming! You may try this in your ad you can says call Jones dive shop ( your local dive shop) and ask if they know you or if you have a unit for sell. Make sure you dive shop knows that you are selling the unit. The buyer can look up the phone # or call information and check on the #. I have done with with some high $ items and it works good. ![]() |
