Re: Ebay the next

Sometimes you can score on eBay because everyone thinks scam first. Payment method is the dead giveaway. If the seller wants western union or cashiers check first, bug out. Got my Mk 15 and a Zepp on eBay. Both transactions were buy it now and the prices were stellar. No regrets. Be vigilant.

I have really made some steals and deals on e-bay.

(My son says I am just lucky).

My Cressi came from there as well as many parts and systems. It ain't all bad, but if it is too good to be true....it probably is.

Watch the buyer protection level 200 bucks is nothing for a thousand dollar or higher sale. Always note the sales record and feedback.

Request that someone you know nearby go over and look at it.

Be careful about payment types.

Always ask for serial number.

Always ask for their address and check them out.

Know what the heck you are buying....

Re: Ebay the next

My girlfriend (Katdiver) bought her Inspiration on ebay. We asked questions, got positive and correct answers, a telephone number in the same area code as the item, checked the serial numbers with ADP and for 4K an almost new Inspiration that was exactly as described.

Sometimes, with homework etc you can score a good deal on e-bay.

Still overall, Buyer Beware...
