| Staying Silent! Mostly... Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Probably not a scam but..... Ha ha! Looks like the usual very careful play on words.... I think this guy is hoping people will not read all the small print and fail to notice that in the photo's you can see that the bits missing are in fact the head & scrubber can! Maybe this is what he's hinting at with this phrase "THERE ARE A COUPLE OF BITS YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED TO GET HOLD OF TO COMPLETE THE KIT TO START DIVING." I wonder how eBay would view this phrasing "THERE IS A NO RETURN POLICY ON THIS ITEM AS IT IS SOLD AS BRAND NEW AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, JUST NOT NEEDED ANYMORE." as it is technically incorrect as it's not a "complete & working" rebreather and he doesn't mention this. Oh and what’s with the long hose going from inhale to exhale tpeices?!? My guess is that if this was a demo/shop window display, the long hose was so they could tuck it into the case so it looked like a complete Inspo.... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Probably not a scam but..... The guy knows enough to hit the key phrases eBay will look at in case of a dispute. He has sold "head units" in the past, may even have been the one from this Rebreather, which seems to suggest his ignorance of not knowing which parts are missing might not be entirely correct. It worries me that he is not willing to supply other photos and the high bidder name is being kept secret. And this statement, "THERE IS A NO RETURN POLICY ON THIS ITEM AS IT IS SOLD AS BRAND NEW AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, JUST NOT NEEDED ANYMORE" seems to be in conflict with this statement: "I'm not a diver and do not know alot about these rebreathers". |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Probably not a scam but..... Near as I can tell from the pictures.... the entire scrubber and head has been bypassed with the long hose. I would say this is not a rebreather (unless you consider a paper sack to also be a rebreather)... these are some rebreather parts. Sort of like saying I'm selling a car that's missing a few bits... and the bits missing are the engine and wheels. It does solve the pesky problem of having to deal with sorb... just one dive on this 'rebreather' and you'll never deal with sorb again! Last edited by n2diving : 9th June 2007 at 16:29. |

![]() | Re: Probably not a scam but..... He relisted the item after an alleged non paying bidder, but it has since been removed. He claims to know nothing about rebreathers, but knew enough to join the hoses together? JD
