Prism on EBAY?

Greetings

I saw a Prism for sale on EBAY today (4/27/07) - still has 2 days left bidding on it at time of this posting.
Info on EBAY seems to be from someone who knows something about this rig.

I am from near Houston - location of seller is in Houston Texas USA.

Anyone know anything about this?

Something is wrong in Denmark. SMI for a nominal fee inspects used units and offers a limited warranty. I am not sure why anyone would have to use ebay. Because of SMI's long wait time used units that are in good shape sell very quickly. I would call SMI for info, and I would never buy a used unit unless it was inspected and approved by SMI.

If you look at the guy's feedback, he has sold some dive gear, so it is not too far off for him to sell a CCR.

Would be a lot eaasier if the PRISMs had serial numbers visible instead of that electronics embedded nonsense.

Anyway, several PRISMs in TX, so it could well be a clean offer.

SMI might know the seller even if they don't handle the rig for him.

I've tried to sell gear on here and on TDS - sometimes with success. Othertimes the gear just sits in my basement. Everything I've ever put on ebay sold in a week.

Mine does. It is engraved on the underside of the head. Perhaps it was just because it was an early unit.
