Ebay: Scammer March 1/07 Evolution

Hi

It looks like the scammers are working damb hard on Ebay to get your money. Just listed an Evolution with a buy it now for $2000. bidders beware as this deal is to good to be true.

I agree it looks slimy. Only one bid was placed then retracted due to a lack of contact with the buyer. Also has a relatively short post time. I emailed seller to ask for serial numbers and requested an escrow agent. No reply as yet.
Interestingly Pay Pal is listed as payment method not check, wire or money order.

I asked the seller if I could pick it up locally and pay with cash..no response yet.

I know that this is too good to be true, but i still had to ask.

If you check in the "reputation" of the seller, you will see that until now he only acquired items and that account was idle for a long time.

Suddenly the usual buyer put on sale a rebreather? To me it looks as an hacked account.

If anyone could see the serialnumber from cell 2 then you could verify at APD or SDS who is the owner of the unit.

Just my 2 cents

The sticker on the back of the unit is from a local Vancouver Island dive shop. I also asked for the SN but have not got any response
