Ive Rescently Been Diagnosed With Snhl Due To Reduced Blood Low To The Inner Ear (not Good)
Question Is And I Know That Theres No 100% Answers .is This Likly To Come Back To Its Full Or Even Worst Nastieness If I Dive Again Due To A Weakond Inner Ear ,or As It Is Not A Diving Related Cause ,would It Be Ok To Try Diving Again .

Can you clarify how your doctors determined the cause to be "reduced blood flow to the inner ear". I suspect this is just speculative, rather than established by any objective means, but I want to be sure before commenting further. Can you also confirm that this did not occur in relation to diving in any way, that is, the onset (which I presume was relatively sudden) was not even close to your last dive. Finally, you imply that you have recovered from this event but can you confirm where things actually stand at the moment. Has your hearing returned to normal? the blood flow reduction as you say does seem to me at least to be a best guess from the ent doctors ,but this was confirmed by a ct scan.The onset of the condition did occur after a normal dive to 35Mtr .However i have been treated by a diving specialist ,and been re compressed as a precaution ,but as the symptoms did not change in any degree at all a diving related reason has been ruled out,so it would seem to be a coincidence rather than a cause
The total hearing loss came on ,as you say without warning ,but also loss of feeling to the same side of my face ,but not motor ***tion,they were fine .I am starting to get a small amount of my hearing back at the moment ,probably about 25% at best(which is very nice ) and my face is now back as it shoud be .
So allthough i am 90% sure that it was not the dive that brought on the condition ,but just a coincedense ,it still leaves me with the question of wheather to dive again may upset a non related condition to to the point of bringing it back on due to some sort of weaknes

thanks for that link .their is some interesting stuff in their with regard my condition ,and more importantly from my perspective ,i think there was almost an answer to the question of continuing diving at some point.
