TYPE 1 Pain Only Hit

Thanks for all the input. I posted this because i thought it was a little strange given the hang we did and the dive conditions that this occured. Again, having come off 5 days of repetitive deep diving without any issue, made this more suprising. However on the Spree trip, i never broke about 220 fsw.

The RBJ dive was deeper, but fairly short at 27 min including descent time. Set point during the dive was 1.2 and i did an 02 flush at 20fsw and manually maintained a 1.4 to 1.45 SP from there. Of course all the other predisposing factors such as rest, hydration, etc are variable and in play.

I should know better. usually on deep cave dives on OC, i would breath 100% 02 at the surface and rest in the water for 10 mins or so. resting in the water off my boat after the dive may not be an option, but on the boat post dive, i may start doing some premptive 02 breathing.

I ain't as young as i once was or as old as i am gonna be! Concessions must be made, i guess.

Did hear you say you were at 260+ fsw on this dive alone with Mr. Dsix???

In light of the dark cloud that seems to follow Don around, I wouldn't completely rule out buddy selection as the underlying contributing factor causing of your hit!

I would stop diving and go get checked for a PFO. Non-supporting evidence shows that diving beyond 1msw on a rebreather has caused significant pulmonary distractions of the outer and inner labias.
