Axel has left Bandos and they do not cater for CCR divers anymore.

Dived here Feb 07.
Old dive centers managers rebreathers etc still in center but staff there then were not rebreather divers and the max 30mtrs for 1 hour rule was in forced...
however, excellent place for holiday if you leave the rebreather at home..

The dive center has changed management and Soo Seng no longer runs it. However while I was there just 2 weeks ago, the staff there told me they were able to supply all the requirements for RB still. O2 from the chamber, 3L tanks were available and sorb still there too.

I took my SCR Dolphin to Bandos in November 2005 and did 19 dives on it. Rebreather support is OK, but could be better. They have a 4 litre & a 5 litre Drager cylinder, plus plenty of 3 litre bail-outs. They could only manage 34% O2, so had to dive with the 40% nozzle (didn't give long with the 4 litre). Ran out of Dive Sorb, but they had plenty of Sofnolime (small granules). CCR divers better catered for, since they had plenty of 3 litre O2 cylinders. The centre has an Inspiration, an Azimuth and a Drager Atlantis, but was not actively promoting training on them. Diving was great however, with Manta Point a particularly memorable experience.

Axel Horn has taken over management of the dive base at Equator Village on Gan in the Addu-Atll, the southernmost atoll of the Maledives. The base is planning to support Nitrox, SCR and CCR diving by the time the winter season starts.

The dive base in Bandos is now being managed by an outfit from Singapore, no more info on that (incl. none about RB support).'
