- The Sentinel is an quite a piece of engineering. The CL's are completely protected in the case. Kevin has taken his experiance from the Boris and has really taken it to the next level with things like automatic calibration etc.. I agree that the unit is not as robust as some it may need to be but I would expect that will evolve.

- KJ and GG have done a very nice job with the new HH CCR. There are scrubber options other than the 7.8 lbs version. Both larger and smaller. The configuration is very flexible when it comes to 02 injection allowing for anything from MCCR to full CCR or a combination. It's also nice seeing the focus on providing a BMCL option to those that want something other than an OTS option. As far as the electronics go, as previously posted, deco is avalible on both the primary and secondary today. I would expect that anyone considering the Meg will also give this unit a very hard look.

- On the C02 front, I agree with you. I was hoping to see more movement here since last year.

While I did spend two days on the show floor I am definately looking forward to all of the interviews that Stuart and the team will be posting shortly.

Thanks for your reply and clarifications. It appears I am speaking too soon about the new stuff (not enough info). I'll keep reading. The GG BMCL is definitely interesting. I do wonder though if it's worth the trade off form the convenience and WOB of OTS to the clutter-free comfort and streamline of BMCL. Either way, I'm not ready to try that yet, gotta' dive some more to find out.

I did get to overhear about 50 percent of the Tom Rose CO2 detector presentation at the Rebreather World Party. However, I had other duties to attend to, limiting my chance to find out all of the information.

It seems that he has produced a working prototype. The unit is about the size of 1.5 fists sitting next to each other. (For anyone who was around back in the days of the Edge dive computer, it is more or less the same size.) I wish I were able to provide more of the details.

I would think it might be difficult to install something that size inside a loop...

Well, not having seen it just my guess, it isn't installed inside the loop, or at least not entirely. My guess would be that it is added to the loop somewhere past the scrubber, a likely place would be along the inhalation hose as that would make universally adaptable. Kinda like the Oxy2.

Gosh, I'm sorry you missed it. Your focus must have been on the pretty girls, the excellent food, and the bar.

Rebreather World and our fearless leader (thanks so much Stuart) had tables set up on the right hand side of the room along the window just after the registration table.

I even had set up a trade show type of banner and a table with the Working Monitor and a retrofit configuration. I demonstrated the monitors ability to switch from a green blinking LED at .5 percent to a red/green blink above .5% and blinking red above 1.8 % continuously from 5:30 PM till after the awards ceremony...only stopping for about 5 minutes to break in line and grab a piece of roast beef.

The crowd watching was usually 2 to three deep at the table all evening.

I want to thank everyone who watched the demo for their interest and their suggestions....some of which are going to be implemented.

I will be preparing some more information as soon as I decompress from DEMA....It was an exciting and heady show for me with the manufacturers strong level of interest in my little blinking toy.

Thanks again for all the support from Rebreather World in throwing a great party and taking it to the next level.
