Ditto.

This is the shallowest wreck we have here, so we used to do this profile every week-end for years... until lately since the American ship kept threaten to shoot at us for diving so close (i.e. 2 miles away)...

Nemo1957 is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Deco Gas Options

I would use the EAN 50 and 100% O2. Plan some deep stops to get ride of some He before making the switch so the He pressure gradient shouldnt be an issue. These gases give you more options above 70 feet that would be more effective.

Re: Deco Gas Options

I (and my 2 dive buddies) did this dive all summer(25 min. at 230), documenting a new wreck here in lake Michigan. We all used 17/30-17/35, 50%, 100%. I personally like 40%, but we all used the same gas for our dives. I carry an 80 for nitrox, my buddies a 50's and a 40 for 02.

I notice a lack of comment on the training front. That bit was only half in jest.....

Funny you should ask.

FWIW

My NAUI OC trimix instructor recommended 35/25 and 02.
My IANTD CCR trimix recommended Bailout Mix + 50% and 02.

EBT:

I have the training, I have the dives and I know the theory but I am trying to see what people think about a specific question.

Would you rather have me start the post with: "I am a rough, salty sea dog with brass balls and 10^5 dives under my belt. Ex-Navy Seal and commie with all the dive certifications a mortal can posess". Certification levels simply are beyond the scope of this excercise.

Try this link as it may help identify whick lobe does more work for you. Herrmann International : HBDI FUNdamentals: Intro to Whole Brain Thinking (TM) Course

I lived in Brighton for 4 years back in the early '90s. All this time with a BSAC club and I still can't quite figure out you Brits. Strange sense of humour.

S'ok, we live in a land where the weather changes faster than a discussion forums direction. What do you expect

PS. I was asking about HIS training..... anyway... I'll stop beating the horse, it should be tender enough to grill now
