| CK+Shearwater ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Get bored on deco? Audio books are generally recorded at a lower bit rate than music, hence longer play on smaller memory MP3. Also you can reduce the bit rate of MP3's if you have the right software to squeeze more on. Maybe some enterprising individual could prise one open and fit a larger memory chip as well.... for the price its not bad! Seems like the perfect device for listening to Scuba Podcasts :-) |

The origional retail for this thing was $295 USD.... I wanted one but would not part with the $$$ at the time... It will be a fun toy for oyster dives this winter. Dive Safe.. There is an additional battery in the housing that powers the earphones, which are basically speakers. They work very well. There are plastic "thingies" that can attach to your mask strap, but in my limited experience found them uncomfortable. When I took those off and simply slid them under a hood to be held in place, it worked much better. Be careful with the volume control, especially when getting out of the water or clearing your ears as you may find it louder than expected. |
