Does anybody know if Delta P have addrressed the planning vs rubtime issue ?? or are the runtimes on VPM way longer than Bulhman ago in the"original" model. I have considered the explorer but just to many bad reports about it - I certainly dont want to send it back a dozen times before it works properly. Regards, SteveL Regards, Steve |

With regard to the conservatism of the deco profile... well yes, I agree that what happens in the water is often a little more conservative than what is indicated in planning mode (which, in turn, gives plans similar to those derived from V Planner). But my answer to that, to be honest, is I don't give a toss. I've treated many seriously sick divers who wished they had made their deco a little more conservative, and this provides me with some serious motivation not to challenge one of my colleagues with same problem. I like this device very much, and feel that my decompressions are a very reasonable compromise between utility and safety. Simon M |
