For a heliair mix I'd go for 14/33.

76 bar He
Air top to 230

26% He on the box is a little lean for me at 50m

Why use so little amount of helium?
I guess is is not an cost issue on ccr. Why don`t you make your dil by adding he first and topping of with nitrox to get tha wanted FO2?

Sounds like a good mix for 40/45mdives like the Moldavia. At that depth I am taking two bailout tins anyway so I might as well go for the easy mix, as I don’t have to worry about the low fo2.

After the experience of awful mix results on the red sea trip I would definitely go for 16/26 and 10/50 in the future. Its cheaper and safer if you haven’t got an 02/He analyser.

Personally I do a heliox first, then analyse its O2 content. Provided this is right, its a piece of piss to get the rest right.

Regardless, once the mix is done.. if the O2 is off, so is the helium.

I'll cough to being lazy enough to use 10/52.... but for shallow stuff I tend to run 20/40. This gives a good narcotic level, reasonable SCR, reasonable deco and a good WOB.

For the mathmatically challenged, the V-planner mixing program gives the heloix O2 content so you can analyze before adding the air.

I didnt know there was another way of doing it to be honist??

The majority of folks dont analyse the heliox mark, they just blend straight through... thus losing your double check.

It depends how critical it is... and the impact of it you have to dump a mix.

Saw you at the bar last night, but to be honest, couldnt be arsed to fight my way back from the front. Interesting little event though eh?
