Decompression Software

I just had a look in the links section and only 5 Deco Software products are listed. Does anyone know of a good list? I'm generally after something that looks and feels like V Planner but is a GF product ( I dislike the GAP interface a lot). To be even more specific, I'd love it to mirror the Shearwater Pursuit. Thanks in advance

Hi Steve,

You should try the link below, and check out the NDP software. You can order the free demo to see if it is something that fits your needs. We believe that it is the best and most versatile software on the market. Of course I suppose that we maybe a little biased, but you can try it for free and decide for yourself.

I believe v-planner front end was taken from Will Smither's Z-planner which may fit your needs.

IIRC Will Smithers didn't do the front end, Ross Hemingway did it. Z-Plan was all text based. You could enter a profile in Z-plan once you were used to it faster than you could on the GUI.

I know it's a bit retro/luddite depending on your view but DD-Plan is a nice simple (and free) GF deco program.

Ah yes, apologies to Ross.

Re: Decompression Software

Scary moment.... Im about to recommend a GUE product. Decoplan is pretty simple... but it costs sheckles. Gordons ddplan is ok, but very very hamstrung by its UI (sadly).

Re: Decompression Software

How about Mv-plan. It is based on Erik Baker's m-value gradient calculations.

Hey Mark,

The NDP does CCR, plus it runs on Mac or PC, and you can try it for free. Just click on the link I attached in post #2 and give it a shot I think you will like it.

Funny, I contacted Gordon a couple of months ago and offered to write a GUI (Graphical User Interface for the non-codemonkeys) front end for no charge and with no licensing restriction - i.e. he could release it under the current terms but he wasn't interested. Shame as it would be a good program if it were a little more usable.

Cheers,

Ben.
